The Don't Eat There Street Fair

One of the best things about Manhattan is that this city will cause all sorts of traffic jams and re-routing of city traffic to entertain a few blocks of people. Lucky enough for me, this past Sunday I was but a mere pedestrian on my way to brunch when a friend and I bumped into this street fair.

I wore what is sure to become one of my favorite summer dresses. It's a super comfy Aztec print strapless cotton dress with a subtle bubble hem. I paired with with my new beyond comfortable Antia sandals, perfect for walking around and checking out the mostly useless junk at the festival.

Though this was an easy breezy Sunday, perfect for super slow strolling and sunshine, there were a few pretty cool relics at the fair. I didn't shop but, these bright woven bowls and African masks were quite tempting.

"Shoot em up!" (Yes I'm talking in this pic) Oddly enough, there was a Santana cover band playing that we could hear from the brunch spot and through out the street fair and they were really incredible. The lead singer sounded exactly like Carlos Santana and the band was rocking my all time fav song "Samba Pa Ti"...added to the vibe.

This was just flat out cool...a 1932 wind up record player...it played "You better straighten up and fly right" - such a funny song.
