When we think about tossing on jeans and a sweatshirt, we usually aren't thinking about style at all. It's more tossing on something to run an errand or one of those lazy days when you're bumming around. But it's actually really simple to look pulled together in your favorite casual pieces.

As much as I love getting dolled up the truth is, most of us (myself included) love being comfortable. Really comfortable. Jeans and sneakers comfortable. Ok... you get my drift. I think you can be totally comfy and look fantastic at the same time, it's not one of those either or situations.
Now more than ever it's very easy to find interesting casual pieces. In part because of the sporty chic trend happing right now but it's also how you mix and match things. Here are a few of my tips on creating a put together casual look.
1. Choose pieces that show off your personal style. Casual doesn't have to mean boring. I'm really into sweatshirts right now (who isn't?) and obsessed with gray. So, I love the tonal mash up of colors in this sweatshirt. Deconstructed boyfriend jeans are still having moment in fashion right now and so easy to dress up, or down.
2. Accessorize. Adding something like a statement necklace and a fun clutch easily dresses up this outfit. A day clutch it's perfect for a kick around day and because a larger size works better for day, you can usually fit everything you need to bring along for the day.
3. Add a layer, or layers. A great structured jacket or vest can really finish a look. I told you that I have been wearing this longline vest religiously! Here's the proof haha. It adds perfect polish.
