Redken's Pillow Proof Dry Bar Review

This past Friday I visited Redken's flagship salon, Cutler Salon to check out their new Pillow Proof Blow Dry Bar in Soho. Let's just say, results...amazing! Above you can see the finished results. They have a pretty stellar menu to choose from. Styles for short, medium and long hair as well as plenty of up-dos to choose from.

I asked for a combination of "Smooth Talker" and "Waves Ahead" from the menu (see below). I usually wear my hair straight or curled, that loose wave in between style is pretty tough, so I was excited to have someone show me! My super sweet and highly talented stylist Jocelyn Marrero nailed it!

Here's what she did to achieve the look. Note - If you pet my hair, I close my eyes and try to nap on you...sorry about that, ha!

First, I asked for a little bit of a trim in the front to create long layers.

Next Jocelyn used Redken's Fashion Waves spray to create the beachy look.

She then went over my hair with a blow dryer and round brush, twirling my hair in a circle to create these soft waves.

Lastly, Jocelyn finished my hair with Wind Blown - a brushable hair spray that kept my waves in tact all day. The entire process took about 45 minutes and I looked smashing for the rest of my Friday. My hair even survived a sweaty dance party! Woot.

Below is the full menu, definitely ask for Jocelyn! Services provided by Redken, all opinions are my own.
