It's been way too long since I unplugged and I couldn't have picked a better place to sleep, eat and beach than Anguilla. After an insane few weeks which culminated with a last minute trip to the Hamptons (fun details on that in the next post) followed by a mad dash back to the city and then a 2 hour drive to Philly at 1AM. We headed to the airport at 5:30 that morning, quick transfer in Puerto Rico then St. Marteen and finally Anguilla. Worth it? Absolutely! Anguilla feels like a home away from home.
Anguilla is a tiny 13 mile island that feels like a laid back beach town. Even though we went during Carnival season, it was completely relaxing and we spend our days on one of the many beaches. Cap Jaluca - my absolute fav and there was wifi (ha!).

In terms of makeup I only wore the NARS' new Audacious mascara and Anastasia's new liquid lipstick (both available now) every day - new favs, best ever, for real. I tried two new things to protect my hair. Number 4's Lumiere d'hiver Super Combe Prep and Protect and Fekkai's Soleil Pre-Soleil Hair Mist. For the first time ever, the sun didn't burn my hair to a crisp. I also kept it pulled back as I've been doing so that there's little manipulation and my curls bounce back to life. A pump of my Jojoba oil into my lotion also helped with the sun and salty water drying out my skin.
When we weren't at the beach, we spent our time driving around and exploring the island. You definitely need a car. There are a few different neighborhoods to check out and with few street signs and only 6 traffic lights on the entire island, we had fun getting lost.
A few island favorites include tiny winding dirt roads that lead to gorgeous surprises i.e. crystal clear beaches, ginger beer, our beautiful home and private pool, endless palm trees, the view of St. Marteen visible from almost everywhere, the local late night food/drink carts in the Valley and driving on the left side of the road. Best time with my Sissy and cousin.
