Sleeping in this tent is literally one of the coolest experiences of my life!
If Montana isn't on your bucket list, go ahead and jot it down right now! Being born and bred on the east coast has afforded me many luxuries...we are so rad, cultured, and tolerant...blahbity blah blah. Most of my travel is either to the west coast or abroad. I'll admit, the middle of our great nation sort of terrifies me. I imagine a see of
Trump signs across lawns and gritty stares from people who think the average black woman is anything like what the see on the news.
All things to consider when traveling while brown. Happy to say that Montana was filled with friendly, kind, neighborly people who were awesome and I felt none of the things I was worried about feeling! But all of that aside, Montana is one of those places I've always wanted to go. It's pristine untouched wilderness, national parks, clean air...even in photos it all seems so - wow.
As soon as you land you're instantly reminded about the majesty of God. Like every beautiful thing we've created, every piece of art, song, all of the genius of man is inspired by this type of beauty. It all pales in comparison to the scale of what sits in front of you. So once my mind stopped exploding from the greatness before me, I went glamping! OMGGGGG
We stayed at the Collective Retreats glamping site at Moonlite Basin. An wonderfully secluded chunk of land just a 10 minute drive to "civilization". All of the joys of camping with all of the luxury of a 5 star hotel. Plush beds, comfly warm tents, farm to table meals prepared by a private chef and all of the s'mores you body can handle! The service was pretty stellar and we were a close enough to go to lots of fun activities (hot tubs, horse back riding, archery, canoeing - you know...outdoorsy nature vibes). I CANNOT wait to go back go Montana.
